How to make?
Add all ingredients, except for the sparkling wine, to a shaker and shake. Strain the drink through a fine sieve into a coupe glass or a lowball glass filled with ice, then add the sparkling wine.
Først No. 2 is the first dark rum made in Estonia, continuing Peninuki Distillery’s journey in creating unique and characterful Estonian rum.
Først No. 2 is made from organic molasses, sourced from the fertile fields of Paraguay, and whose exceptionally slow, up to three-week-long fermentation is based on Belgian saison yeast.
The slow fermentation of the molasses produces an ester-rich, aromatic, and full-bodied wash, the double distillation of which results in a smooth, clean, and distinctive light rum.
The rum then matures in American bourbon and PX sherry oak barrels, where it develops a mature flavor profile and its natural golden color.
Først No. 2’s aroma intertwines sweet nuances of dried fruits and exotic spice.
The taste reveals vanilla, oak barrel tannins, and characteristic raisin and fig notes from PX sherry, followed by a smooth and long-lasting finish.
